Crazy indeed. Maybe it's a size/location thing. Discount Tire told me that it would take 3-5 days to arrive and they were in the day after I ordered. It was only because of my schedule that I had to wait two days. Regardless, they are worth the wait.

probably not a location thing, I'm about a 30 minute drive from the Tire rack distribution warehouse

Amazing. I ordered from Discount Tire three days ago and got a call today that they are on national backorder and can't be fulfilled. My tires are 245 /40 R19 front and 285 /35 R19 rear.

Wow! That sucks, sorry to hear it. As I've said before and I'm sure a few would agree with me, they are worth the wait. Seriously, going as far back as the PSS2 it was like upgrading my suspension when it comes to handling. And so far the PS4S are even better. On a side note, do you like the wider tires? I wasn't a fan of the 285s (they just felt weird) and decided to go back to what AM says should be on there.

My car is a 2015 Vantage Roadster GT. These are the original tire sizes so haven't thought about changing them. Sounds like maybe they're bigger than earlier years or other versions.

You know after rereading everything it did finally dawn on me that that was your standard size. One thing I love about AM is that almost all of their factory wheels look great but the 19" thing really throws off finding tires. It seems like everything is 20" or larger these days. Oh the price we pay to look so beautiful on the road.
