Mystery Turbine Sound - V8 Vantage

Hi all,

Wondering if anyone can help me uncover this sound... (Audio Posted below) 2013 V8V

Regrettably I was driving home late the other night and ran over something on the dark road, it hit the undercarriage (missed the splitter and everything else)

However, now upon accelerating I hear an audible “whoosh” like a jet turbine spooling up.

the car drives fine and I looked underneath and see nothing bent or out of sorts... just this sound.

If you listen close you can hear an audible whine around 2/3k rpm

Not sure but if you've hit the underneath of your car and you're hearing weird wind rushing noises and there's no visible sign of damage, you may want to check your air-boxes. They are located pretty close to the ground and can break if hit hard enough from below.

Update us on what you find.

^^^ as TAC has said if an airbox has been hit you may see zero damage on the front lower bumper or plastic under wheel liner. And since it's a noise at higher RPMs (extra air intake leak) before MAF sensor you should have a check engine light soon after 2-3 drive cycles. You should have the car put on a ramp to check for a proper inspection of the under carriage and both Left an Right air intake boxes.

Thank you for inputs! I will do as mentioned above - any damage possible from driving back and forth to work before I can get it on a lift?

Your visual said nothing hanging down, so worst case is maybe a CEL, emissions warning for intake air leak.
