Do you have the Premium Audio option? You will notice most Vantage owners rave about how good the audio system is. It is one of the better factory sound systems available. You're the first person I have read complaining about it. What is it that you don't like?

I had the Linn 950w system in my DB9 and it was terrible. The Alpine premium is better, but still nothing to write home about...mediocre.

Maybe the very expensive B&O is better (it should be for he price).

Maybe I'm not an audiophile, but I thought the premium stereo was fantastic. Far and away the best OEM stereo system I've had, with the exception of the B&O that I have now.

It is . . . at car meets, I've had stereo fanatics just loving my car's system.

Sounds like he needs to adjust the settings or doesn't have the Premium system in his car.

Most car stereo 'fanatics' just care about loud, booming bass. They wouldn't know good sound if it slapped them in the head. My baseline is good home stereo reproduction, and by those standards the Alpine Premium is just OK. The older Linn 950W system was actually terrible; quite shocking from a highly respected audio company with very high-end products.

Any way, since I listen to my home system for good sound, I can live with the Premium system. It's quite far down the list of reasons to buy an Aston (just like the always complained against Nav system).

I've never used the Nav, so it's a don't care for me, and the stereo is used only occasionally, so it's an almost don't care. But I feel for the guys who do complain, because they aren't getting what they paid for, that's for sure.

Few of these guys (that I'm talking about) own their own studio's, Audio wholesale - I'm sure they know what they're talking about . . . Never the less, they loved my system. Period

I agree with Gekko/Inder, the premium audio is good... BUT you do need to play with the set-up to ensure a sound that meets your needs, you have - Fade - balance - centre speaker (mid range-only) , Bass and subwoofer plus the usual treble settings - a 5 band Equaliser and surround on/off plus levels.

It can sound "ok" or "awesome" depending on how you set it it up!
My advice, have a play: and ensure you give it good volume to let the system find a balance.

I found the Premium System in Vantage to be very good after fiddling with the settings (before that it was pretty bad).

I am however very disappointed with the B&O I have now in Rapide. Equalizer is gone too, so no way to make it better. I even have a Demo B&O Automotive CD, which we all know is tuned to sound especially appealing, and I still don't like it

On the other side, I heard last week the Bowers Wilkins system in the Jag XK-R, and it sounds awesome! Same with Burmester in the Panamera! Best auto-systems I heard until now...
