nice find. I also found that OE/M suppliers SERGEY and BAIXINDE have V8 Vantage Coil Packs as well. I just copped a set for $100 off ebay for future use.
I'd hazard a guess and say these are the same units being offered by US resellers but are charging 800-1000% markup.
Very interesting. Are SERGEY and the other one actually the OEM suppliers? I like the look of the coils but they don't have the fixing hole at the front like the OEM coils.

I doubt these Chinese made brands are OEM suppliers. But they are OE equivalent/replacements. I don't even know where to source OEM coil packs besides from the dealer. And I'm afraid I don't have OEM MFG/supplier information, but I would think it would be some German supplier like BERU or BOSCH.
All I'm saying is I've seen non-OEM coil packs being sold for $800-$1000/set and I wouldn't be surprised if these were just re-branded Chinese parts being sold at massive markup.

I have continued my search for the coils. From the latest information I can determine, the 3 pin coils have a model number of XR1U-12A366-AB. There are also the Beru coils which are probably the OEM. I am having my coils done now (ouch). I wish I had the talents to do my own but my wife hides tools from me.
Doing a lot of searching, it looks like the equivalent to the 3-pin 8G43-12A366-AA are the BERU tel:0040100388]0040100388 or a ZS388. I have not found anything so far in the US. The Beru ZS388 has 3 pins and looks like it is the best 3 pin fit. A Champion BAE A388 also appears to be a good number - see https://www.onlinecarparts.co.uk/oenumber/8g4312a366aa.html]here
I looked on this https://partinfo.org/beru-zs388/]link]https://partinfo.org/beru-zs388/]link
and https://www.sparkplugs.co.uk/beru-ignition-coil-zs388]here
I have an extra pair of 12pcs with 3 pins but part number 4G43-12A366-AA wherein I believe it should have been 8G43. Well I guess with AM it does mix part numbers probably during the transition phase.

I wonder how the offbrand coils fair. I had the upgraded Genuine 8g43-12a366-aa coils fit at 24k miles and now at 47k miles a few are already miss firing. First set from new lasted only 24k miles, second set lasted 23k miles. Gone are the days where one just replaces all coils. If you find a good coil, keep it, just replace the bad ones.
I think I'm just going to err.. "upgrade" my manifolds like they do in the UK so I never have to think about ceramic ingestion. I don't want to get stressed out every time I have a little miss.
rumor has it some people remove the catalytic converter from the manifold to avoid having it sucked back into the engine (which will destroy it). Or so I'm told.
Absolutely true, if a misfire allows unburnt fuel to enter the close coupled cats in the exhaust manifold, they overheat and break up, throwing their insides back up the xhaust port during scavanging, past the exhaust valve and destroy the motor. Hot tip is to gut, or remove those cats and move the O2 sensors to prevent emissions warning lights. Here are a set where my stock headers have had the cats cut out and replaced with tube.Installed with exhaust wrap to retain heat in exhaust, reduce underhood temperatures and protect adjacent components.
for more reliability and because of the excessive heat, I definitely removed the sheet metal cover above the coils ...
That seems like a good idea. But doesn't that cover prevent water ingress in the rain? Can you post a photo of what it looks like now?
V12 Jags used to have heat related ignition amplifier failures and some companies would even sell a kit of bolts and spacers to just lift the amplifier an inch off the engine block and that was enough to keep it working.
Hi, As anyone used BERU coils in the end ? How did they fit ? All good ? Any issues to report ?
I was also wondering if they where the original suppliers to AM ?
Thanxs
