Foxwell NT510 Can Only See Two Modules

Since I got it, my Foxwell NT510 only seems to allow me to read from two modules, the EE module and the 08 module, not the 09. When I try the 09, it just says that it isn't supported. I'm trying to figure out of this is normal and if others are experiencing something similar, or if I have a defective device.

Bump. Anybody else with a foxwell that can tell me if they can read all three modules? I can get into each module, but when I try to read codes from 09, it says it isn't supported.

I have this model. Which port are you plugging it in to?

I have the Foxwell NT530 and can read lots of modules from both ports...I also have an Autel M802 that could read many modules, forced to Ford or Volvo

OBD port. I go into the OBDII section, scan, and three modules show up. I can select each module to go further into the folder structure (stored codes, pending codes, etc.), but can only go further to actually perform the selected task on two of the modules. Whenever I try to do any of that on the third module, it says it isn't supported.

I too have the Foxwell NT30. I believe it lists all the available modules. Some it reads some from the OBD port (for me, the engine needs to be running) and the others it reads from the Body port (for me, engine off is ok). So may try it from the other port?

There are two ports that the reader will connect. One near the drive shaft tunnel is the body port. Outboard to this (roughly under the steering column) is the other port to read engine codes.

I checked both ports earlier today with the DB9 running. Everything works. Have you checked for an update? I did an update to my NT510 a little while ago. It fixed a couple of issues I was having. Hope this helps.

I’ll give it a shot. Thanks for checking for me. I checked it again today and still the same issue.

Hi Bob. I updated the software again last night and had the same issue. It sees threes modules:

$07EE
$07E9
$07E8

but when trying to read anything from $07E9 it states "The Selected Mode is Not Supported." Would you be willing to try yours in the OBDII port, check how many modules you can see, and see if you can read codes from all three?

The reason this is so important is because my vehicle is having some weird issues throwing inexplicable fault codes and I am wondering if they're partially because a module is not communicating correctly. I'd also like to know if my Foxwell isn't operating as intended, if we find the module to be communicating properly. It'd help a bunch if you're willing to let me know.

BTW, my model is a NT530. I ordered a NT510 but realized they sent me the NT530.

OK- I did a thorough review with my NT510. It was time for this (it's an annual thing) and I learned a few things. All 3 modules worked. I had forgotten some will prompt me to turn the engine off and leave the key on. Data was retrieved from the EE, E8 and E9 sub-categories. Some live data from each of the 3 with the engine running.
Another thing I haven't mentioned. My NT510 has an "OBDII" icon and an "Aston Martin" icon. There are some overlapping diagnostics, and some unique to the icons. Hope this helps.

Helps tremendously! Now I know there's something wrong either with my scanner or with my car. I also have the OBDII and Aston Martin icons, both of which give slightly different information and some overlapping. This now lets me know that I need to try to figure out my scanner first and if that doesn't fix it, I may have something going on with my vehicle itself. Thank you for your help!

Thank you for offering. I'd like to try to fix it with Foxwell first if at all possible before being a burden to anyone. Are you using a Foxwell too?

Mine is the same. Other than you having a NT530, I don't think we can get much closer than that. I'll run this down with Foxwell and try to figure out what's up! Thanks again!
