Color Options - Questions
Color Options - Questions
Hi all - hoping that everyone is keeping safe.
I was going over my build sheet that I received from the dealer that serviced the car when the previous owner bought it. In the color options, it indicates that the color is Tungsten Silver (Fast Track) - What does "Fast Track" mean? Is this for expedited delivery? Also, the seat color is indicated as Light Grey (Out of Range) - what does "Out of Range" mean? It also indicates that the exterior hood color is Black (Fast Track) - the hood is certainly silver - unless "exterior hood" means the convertible top color. I need to find the color code so I can get some touch up paint (and really fine brushes) to touch up some rock chips before I either put a clear bra or any sort of coating on it.
Thanks for the help.

Aston Martin has multiple categories for paints and leathers. Hood refers to the soft-top color.
Fast Track paints are no cost paints and were either solid or had minimum effect such as basic metallic flake.
Contemporary paints were more complex and had an upcharge. Usually consisted of xyrallic effects or micas.
Special paints were even more exclusive and of course there were Q categories on top of that which carried Heritage paints, other manufacturer paints, paint to sample etc.
Leathers had similar categories. Out of range leather would refer to a color that is not on the palette for the current model, but was at one point offered at Aston Martin.
Tungsten Silver looks great on a DB9, never seen one with the Light Grey interior.

The Tungsten Silver and Light grey look great together. The upper trim color is Phantom Grey, while the lower trim color is Light grey. The seat outer color is Light grey with Phantom Grey stitching. The seat inner color in Light Grey. The headliner is Tailors Grey, and the carpet color is Phantom Grey. They really look good together....
You are looking for color code AST1262 which I believe was made by Dupont for the 2007s. If the dealer cannot source a touch up kit try having a local body shop mix it from Dupont bases and tints.

That is excellent - rather have the actual paint than an alternative that may not be a perfect match.
