I am also in the Ottawa (Orleans Region) and have a 2009 V8 Vantage with VAP 200 Cell and tune, I'm not sure if a 4.3 will sound the same as my 4.7 buy our exhaust is exactly the same. Let me know if you want to swing by for a listen before making a choice. I personally think that it is the perfect sound for that car :-)

You removed your secondary Cats and replace them with 100 Cell, but you know you still had 200 Cell in the headers?? Which means that now you are running 300 Cell Cats. He has a 07 so only 1 cats 600 Cell on each side, that is why I suggested 200 Cell for him.

Yes, I have Fuse 22 on a remote bypass on my DB9, and yes, I secretly get an adolescent kick when someone recognizes the car and asks me to blip the throttle so they can hear its glory. But to me an Aston Martin is like James Bond in a tuxedo: all the "stuff" is there, but it's not strutting about like a noisy peacock on constant display.
By all means let's revel in the sounds our cars make, and even emphasize them at key moments. But in my opinion - and I recognize that I may be in the minority - the magic is in the control aspect.
I’m so with you.... I like my Aston fuse is out (obviously) the cold start is authorotive and it sounds deep and expensive, I have a mustang GT with some go fast stuff H Pipe cat back system but it does not sound the same, the Ford gets annoying and it’s rumbling becomes irritating after a long ride in traffic, but my goodness we can ride this car like a cheap hooker and it never complains, this is what the mustang brings to the table

if I drove the Aston as hard as I drive the ford I would be broke, two different cars two different tones two different sets of followers ....

Go with 200 cel cats an x pipe and stock muffler and you will have a great sounding car that doesn’t stink.

Maybe Im missing something here but if the car is correctly tuned and burning the fuel efficiently then why would it stink just because theres no catalytic converter . Yes it will not have as clean an exhaust emission but it shouldnt stink ?

Your car is an 07 with 600 Cells Cats, if you remove and replace with a staight pipe you will need to have a tune to turn off the O2 Sensors. I have 200 Cells Cats and no smell but don't know anyone with a 4.3 running catless, that would be very loud and not so enjoyable as mine is loud enough.

It may be helpful to learn what a catalytic converter does and you'll understand why it smells, and why you're excessively polluting. They don't actually filter anything, they just breakdown nitrogen oxides. It's a chemical reaction that makes the gas far less toxic to you and the planet.

I understand how a catalytic converter works as far as reactions between the platinum and the noxious nasties etc .
Anyways call off the dogs and please dont set Greta Thunberg on me ........I have decided strictly on noise level to go with 200 cell cats and a tune from Velocity .

I am running catless and my exhaust does not stink. You can slightly smell a little difference compared to stock but absolutely IMHO not obnoxious

Installed the straight pipes last week, previously ran the 200 cell for a few years. Straight pipes are significantly louder (I have stock exhaust with fuse pulled). I personally like the sound better, still mellow under 2500 RPM but really cracks and pops nicely. I'll try to post a video with sound.

Parts arrived today .
200 Cell cats installed in about 1 1/2hr . Easy job once you break off all the old flange bolts . 3/8” long extension and wobble drive to get to the top one .
Sound is awesome , angry enough but not way loud , glad I didnt go with cat deletes .
velocity tune is next but thats something I need to pay attention to and make time for as Im not the most computer tek savvy type .
Very happy so far .

Good choice, cat delete is cool at 1st but tends to be somewhat overbearing after awhile for a streetcar.
