DB9 Touch-Up Paint Attempt

I have some road rash I am going to attempt to repair. I have 2 small "lines" chipped out of the right door. About 1/4" long. I also have 2 very small chips above the DB9 badge on the rear spoiler. I ordered this: https://paint2fix.com/touch-up-paint...ip-repair-kit/

We'll see how it goes. My expectation is for a very close match. I'll keep ya'll informed. Any tips/advise are welcomed.

If that doesn't work for you, Dr. Color Chip has gotten some pretty good reviews.

I found a kit on ebay from https://www.paints4u.com/ in the UK. Price was reasonable.

Here are the instructions that came with the kit.

Getting started.

This is what the next step looks like.
I was pleasantly surprised how close the color was when dry.
The next step is to wipe the "Blending Solution" on to remove excess paint. Six tries later, still no success. All the paint is removed. I haven't developed the touch yet. Ready for a drink......

bit of a fine art really. The trick is to use as little paint as possible, and to fill in just the chip. then blend using a bit rubbing compound by hand

I use a tooth pick to drop paint into the chips (make sure you clean it well first)...a little at a time and keep it just under the edge then top off with clear...
