My new (to me) '16 Vantage GT with premium (not B&O) audio has a rather odd issue with the audio going silent after restarting the car. It works fine for however long I'm driving, I shut off the car and run an errand or whatever, and when I get back in and restart it, there's no sound. The infotainment system appears to still be playing and will accept Bluetooth and USB inputs, turns on and off normally, etc, but there's just no sound produced. I'm wondering if it's either the amp overheating, or the relay for the amp overheating - the fuse block in the trunk can get pretty toasty. The car is under warranty but I can't reproduce this on demand, so I'm not going to take it in until I have some clues for the service guys.

Anyone have thoughts on where to look? And where is the amp for the premium audio system located anyway?

I have a 2017 V12S - Same audio setup as you. I've only had that happen once, however I talked to a local owner of another 2017 V12S that has had a similar problem when I talked to him last year- not sure if he's fixed it or it's still happening. he would have taken it to Morries Aston Martin in Minneapolis - maybe call Michael Ashby the service rep there and see if they have seen the car and fixed the problem.

The amps are located inside the right rear quarter panel just inside and next to the fuse box.

There are two amps, one for the sub, and the other for the 5 speakers.

I used to have base audio, that I subsequently upgraded to premium via all factory parts, and while I was on the base system I used to have a similar problem where I would lose audio at random times.

It drive me insane as I could t figure it out.
After about a month, I also started seeing random issues with DSC and other alerts.

Turned out to be caused by a failing battery. One that was in battery tender and appeared to be fine until I took it into a shop for proper testing.

Never had the issue since after replacing the battery, but I did replace the system about a month after the battery.

Thanks, I hadn't been able to figure out where they were located. There being two amps kind of shoots down my theory that "the" amp was overheating or dying though.

The battery in this car is only a few months old and it's kept on a tender, so I don't think that's the issue.
