Rear trunk/glass seal broken!

So I just washed the car and noticed all the suds and water leaking down into a small hole in the rubber sealing between the trunk and rear window glass. This seems to funnel down into the tail light housing as well. No wonder my taillight has just failed.. Yikes.

Does anyone know how hard of a job it is to reseal these? I'm temped just to plug it or put an additional small seal over and monitor it. Curious if anyone has dealt with this? It seems pretty isolated, so not sure if the entire seal needs to be replaced. But does anyone also know what the material is so I can patch it properly?

Thank you!

Well this is a low point in my life After letting the car dry I realized this hole is machine cut and they exist on both sides of the bottom rear glass. I have never noticed these! Can anyone confirm these are legit drain holes? I'd like to just make sure the glass was not installed improperly at some point.

Those are in fact real factory fit drain holes that drain thru the hatch onto the tail lamps. Early Vantage has them and I believe changed 07-08 at some point.
Use some black RTV and block the holes from the top. As if you sealed the lower large holes on the hatch it may cause trapped water to an unwanted area.
