X-pipe for Vantage

Gents

Want to do x-pipe for my V8 Vantage, to get that exotic tone. I know Fabspeed makes one that replaces secondary cats ($1400+) looks like really good quality work & Velocity AP makes one, where this one replaces mid section pipes ($1000+) this design is better if you want to keep your secondary cats. Do you guys think is it worth it? ($$$$) Is there another brand who makes X-pipes for Vantage? cheaper?
I have VAP tune software, secondary cat delete pipes from quicksilver & Aston Sport muffler. I like the sound, but it has more V8 deep tone, trying to make it little softer & higher pitch sound.
Thinking if I can find good exhaust shop near me that can make it. ( probably for half price.) What's your thoughts,
Anyone around Los Angeles area knows good exhaust shop that does custom exhaust work can tackle this kind of project?

Hi Avo,
If you're running the secondary cat deletes, have a tune and sport muffler, adding the Velocity AP x-pipe will be a really sweet set up! Yes, it will be 'softer' at lower RPMs, and you'll find the added torque from the x-pipe nice in traffic (I hear that's a problem in LA!). When you have an open freeway on ramp or a nice stretch of road you'll get a really nice howl.
Call me if you still want to chat on the install I did on my '15.
Best,
Erin

I have the Velocity back muffler and it is awesome, it has an x-over in it and drops a good bit of weight. Headers are supposed to make the pitch higher too.

I remember seeing that episode of engine masters...
There is probably no field more subjective than exhaust modifications without dyno test.

Here's some dyno data we pulled a few years ago on our customer Sonny's 4.3L Vantage. It already had cats fitted so that is the baseline. We also have made some more developments to the tuning software since then, but it gives you a good idea on the delta for the XPipe - 7WHP and 22WTQ.
