Hey all, I thought I'd introduce myself as I took the plunge (bait?) and bought a 2007 V8 Vantage just before it snowed here in Edmonton Alberta, Canada.
The car is wrapped satin (flat) black (I might un-wrap it.....it's black underneath) has 20" black HRE multi-piece wheels (I might put the originals back on), has a carbon fibre chin spoiler (ya, I'm iffy on that too) and has some sort of cats/muffler combo that I think is a Quicksilver and I know is POWERFUL LOUD! I already have a stock muffler on order after being followed all the way down the freeway by a cop on my drive home from picking it up, lol.
I'm obviously not 100% on the PO mods, but it's a nice low mileage no story car that needed a new owner, so what the heck.
I look forward to learning more about the car and eventually getting to drive it. 6 months from now! Oh how I envy you southerners right now!
As a favor, I will allow you to ship me the car to the land of palm trees and I will send you weekly updates with pictures. Here we are in Miami! Here we are in New Orleans! Here we are in LA! It will be great for you!
I feel your pain; "James" is hibernating in a friend's warehouse/shop with his cover on and a battery tender on duty. The wait until springtime (maybe a touch longer than mine) will be worth it. You will LOVE the car! Good luck.

I've an even better idea.....room-mate! You give me a place to stay and a few good meals and maybe cover shipping costs, and I chauffer you around........let's talk, lol.
The only saving grace is that in my 30 minutes of driving the car I found about 5-1/2 months of work I need to do! I got the e-brake switch fixed, touched up a scar on one of the wheels and replaced the hatch struts. Now, if the new (old) exhaust shows up I'll have another project, and if I can find a cross-over for easily attainable door struts and get them in, yet another!
(I bought and installed the rear hatch Boxi struts recommended by member "BMW North" in an old thread which work a charm. Thanks!)
