DB11 wifi hotspot

Has anyone figured out how to use the wifi hotspot in a DB11? For a car in this price range, I'm extremely disappointed in the lack of detail in the owner's manual and the lack of support from the few dealers around. I've talked to 2 dealers (including the dealer I purchased the car from) and both were clueless about a wifi hotspot in the car. My phone picks up a hotspot signal and the command system shows a hot spot feature but how can I actually use it (or subscribe to a service to pay for it)? I've tried to connect using the password shown but my phone says 'connected without internet'. Any thoughts?

The only time that I’ve seen this was on a rental car. When the Hotspot did not work I called the rental company and was informed that it was a subscription only service. May be the same on your 11.

I'm sure that a subscription is needed. But the owner's manual gives zero information on this. My other cars (including a Mercedes) with wifi hotspots all use AT&T as the wifi provider. I tried them but they say they don't support this car.

One of the low points of my new ownership experience with Aston Martin was the slapdash manner in which my car was delivered and prepped. There was no knowledge of the wifi and when I asked I was promised they would "get back to me right away" with the steps to set it up..... One year later.

To use wifi in your DB11/Vantage...

1) Park in your driveway
2) Connect to your home wifi system

Did you put a data only SIM into the car?
