I liked Richard as well, relied on him for Aston parts, fluids and information for my DIY projects. But his video above tells me he is "in the wind", as they say on lots of TV cop shows. Too bad cause he owes me $542.93 or the stuff I ordered on my most recent order. Prepayment can be a one way street, never expected it from him.

Agreed. I don't believe he is shutting down his online business as part of his new adventure. Things might be a little delayed while he is in transit. I would reach out to him and see what he has to say.

 

I know Rich very well and until recently speak to him a good few times a week. Hes going through a huge amount of personal things at the moment which have limited his time online and time he can allocate to checking and maintaining emails, least of which is packing up his entire life and business and currently moving it across country (last time I spoke to him he was in the midst of a 15 hour drive) with the end goal of moving abroad. All of this is directly with the intention of improving the business and customer service. Unfortunately this will always come with a transition period which as a one man band is nearly impossible to make happen smoothly.

He has no intention of leaving anyone hanging or disappearing with money and has asked me to apologise on his behalf if people are scratching their heads wondering why he's not answered an email. The fact of the matter is its hard to do so when driving most of the day or with limited internet access.

I have a lot of faith that he will come out the other side of this with a stronger business and with more time to commit to it, so Id just ask those waiting for a reply to have a little patience.

 

Rich is an honest guy and he will sort out all his business transactions.

 

+1 on that. If Rich were to screw anyone purposely, I'd take as a sign the Apocalypse is nigh.

 

Don't know him at all, but his videos ended up in my YouTube feed since I have been looking for an Vantage for my dad. The guy seems to be battling some normal business growing pains and personal issues at the same time. The whole "up and leaving" thing is a normal response to stress. As others have said, he does not appear to be stiffing anyone, just frustrating them.

 

He never E Mailed me backed after Several Sent For a Crazy DHL Charge of $130, SoI just disputed with Paypal to get his attention, He so Discombobulated He Sent Back the Whole Charge of $268 & said It Never Shipped?

So The way I See It when He's Back in The Bizz, I Owe Him $130 Now....

Hope he's back Someday, I Had to get a O2 Sensor at Aston (he would have saved me $50) But If I need the Expensive Stuff He Beats My Wholesale Account Prices on A Lot.
