I'm sure this is what Aston Martin was hoping also. The fact that they updated the roadsters front end sort of admits they know there is a problem. Need to get rid of the Miata headlights also. Where did they come up with these?

Interesting question when you compare to AMG GT sales. Same hardware, higher HP, more torque, competitive in price.
The Art Deco look, including the interior of the GT is more focused - ironic that it was Mercedes answer to the Porsche 911 for going after the luxury GT market.
Given the choice I would take the AMG GT over the new Vantage but my '14 V8V MT C over the GT as the styling, general fit, finish make it a standout; helped by a NA engine, hydraulic steering and stick.
Sales of the AMG GT continue to be brisk, '20 (basic) model new, hard to find with a waiting list for '21 - Mercedes got it right.

Agree, new headlight design boring and uninspired

I don't understand why people think the revised front bumper is an improvement. For me, it makes the car worse. Now it's an out of proportion, swollen fish mouth instead of the original alien jutting jaw. But I don't only dislike the front, the rear is busy and inelegant and the pinch of the center of the car under the doors, which is an almost exact copy of what Lotus did to the Evora several years before, is odd and unnecessary. The designers should all be sent to check for astigmatism. It's just a mess.

+1 if you actually see the updated? Grill next to the original design it has a downward angle that doesn't make it work.

As proof it has grown on me,I get delivery of this car tomorrow. Aston has to move on at some point. All of the reviews that
I have seen and read give this car glowing reviews. I’ve been lucky to have many sports cars during my life and can tell you
several were castigated at first for violating a manufacturer’s heritage (928,328 GT,996 Porsche) later to be appreciated.

nice to join you..

Good job, you have an earlier version with the nicer wheels. Only updates I would do is the quad exhaust (Velocity AP) has a nice kit with OEM trim bits. And the metal gill panels add a nice touch to the side profile.

Welcome aboard

It's definitely grown on me. As others have noted it is very color sensitive, but I think the company has to move forward and has to take risks. I don't have a lot of interest in it, but in the right color combo it is a striking car. I also appreciate that it can't be mistaken for a DB11, which was not always the case with the VH cars.

Was that pre-planned as part of the model life cycle or was it an "oh ****" moment with all hands on deck to come out with the slats? I sure hope the former.

Where can you purchase the metal gill panels? Aston’s price is crazy.

The new Vantage has definitely grown on me, but it doesn't sit high on my priority list of next car to purchase.

I'm a huge fan of the movie-only DB10 and I wish the new Vantage looked more like it. It does as certain angles but the fine details are what attracts me to the DB10 they used in Spectre.

All that being said, the new car definitely has presence! I smile every time I see one on the road.

I'll likely consider one further down the line in a manual transmission as used prices trend downward. I just looked and they're still high, which is good for current owners!

I've tried very hard to change my view but just can't do it. Every time I see it from the side I feel it wants to be folded in half due to the rise and fall of the body line. The new grill is better than the original but still isn't right. The hood somehow flows too low from the top to make the grill too small which surprises me. The headlights are still too small. And of course that interior.

I'm sorry for this criticism if you own and love one. Just ignore my thoughts they don't matter to want you want.

I like it from some angles, but I'm wondering if it will age as gracefully as the prior model. It's very modern in design with the sharp edgy look.

I don’t think the new Vantage will ever grow on me. Somehow, when I see the new one, it just feels like the special feeling of the class is gone.
