That Sound! Is this Really a V8? Vantage GT4 Rally Car
This V8 GT4 converted for rally use doesn't sound like any other v8 vantage I've heard. Is this really a v8? How could they make it sound like that? I'm thinking this is really a v12 and the title is wrong.
wow, I can definitely see why it might be confused with a v12. That exhaust note is pretty high-pitched. It doesn't sound throaty like the v8. Do you know what the setup is on this?
Single back boxes on the rear exhaust, rest is standard GT4. All the build photos are here: http://www.mat.fi/gallery/85
Thanks for the eye candy! It's interesting, I've searched GT4 setups and watch those sound clips and it doesn't sound quite as high-pitched as the video above. It sounds more like the traditionally V8 but louder.
Surprised to see the car has the original vantage front and rear sections, but painted to look like the later V12 / V8S sections. It works really well. For anyone that wants the look of the later cars, all you need is some masking tape and a few cans of black spray paint, don't waste your time and money fitting new panels

Really late reply I know hah, but how is it making 500 hp if the only difference from a GT4 is the backbox, I thought there wasn't any power to be gained from that. Also I haven't seen any backbox affect the sound to that extent.
