Low mileage 4.3 vs mid-high mileage 4.7
Low mileage 4.3 vs mid-high mileage 4.7
What's your opinion on getting a lower mileage (10K-30K) 06-08 model, or a higher mileage (40-60K) 09+ model for a couple thousand more?
I think maintenance is the main concern here. Will the higher mileage one have larger maintenance cost? Also, 06-08 models depreciation seems to have bottomed, but 09+ ones might have not yet?

Service history, owner(s) overall care of the car & a proper PPI would be my focus. Too little driving may just as well translate into a future one-off expense that seems inevitable (timing cover gasket) to the Vantage, whereas a higher mileage car may be pretty well sorted. On the other hand clutches would be more a concern with mileage, but that is also highly variable as some get 7K while others last 70K+. Opinions of early vs. later models comes down to personal choice & experience.
If they look like they are in the same condition, I'd go for the higher mile 4.7. The Vantage got incrementally better in many areas as the model years increased. There's more than just the engine. Go for the one not leaking or condensating is a good start. No corrosion on the body.
