V8V makes Hagerty Bull List for 2021

Looks like Hagerty likes the 2005-2017 V8V enough to be included in their Bull Market report for 2021.

The car has a long way to go to make up all the depreciation it's experienced. I suppose if you bought a 4.3 car now you could drive it for free at least.

There goes my theory of buying a cheaper one soon when this market cools.

I can see the 4.3s appreciating a few k, as some of the cars I was checking out last year resold at auction for like 5k more a month or two ago and the bidding is pretty intense, but the 2014+ cars with near zero miles on them aren't moving at 65-70k asking, so it's hard to see enough upside to offset some of the rather painful maintenance costs heh.

This is one of the reasons I decided on a coupe with the 4.7 and a manual trans. I feel like I bought at nearly the bottom of the market and I won't lose any money if I sell it in a few years.

I did the same, although I don't see myself selling mine anytime soon. I'm having too darn much fun in it.

Unless the global economy tanks, they're never going down again, and I think they'll go up as more get knackered and EVs take over. Clutch pedals, unusual colors, V12s, and 4.7s will all command a premium, but I think they'll all go up.

There aren't many future classics born in the 21st century, and the Vantage is one of them...Unlike Ferraris (and other Astons), the V8V can actually be driven for miles and miles, and parts are available to keep them going (particularly if you're smart about cross-referencing to Ford part numbers).
