How Many First Year DB-9 6 Speeds?

Seems hard to pin down......just like AM total production numbers. I have come across about 5 in my 10 year association with Aston. That figure is primarily as seen in print, not in person. One is in my garage........

Don,

1st year????? Would you be asking for 2005 or 2006 models. Aston OFFICIALLY didn't offer the 6-speed manual DB9 until 2006 model. However, I owned a 2005 6-speed model which another forum member now owns. But I had asked a Aston Martin rep at the unveiling of the new DBS and he said he had never heard of a 2005 manual model and that I was mistaken on my own car to what year it was. I took him out to the garage and showed it to him and he was shocked. Had been with AM for over 20 years. He did some digging for me and came up with ---- Aston Martin built less than 24 DB9 2005 models with the 6-speed manual for testing and some special orders. Due to mule cars and testing they suspect there are less than 12 left in the world in 2019------- They did not have an exact number built which is what I wanted. I was also trying to find out the color ways for them. Mine was jet black but had interior contrast stitching which wasn't a very common option then either. So best I can say is what they told me by email. I have it somewhere. Let me know if you want that email.

THAT....is good info. Yes, I remember you having that car. Mine is tungsten with iron ore red interior. My doors have NO wood on the tops, just leather. MAYBE about once a year I see another '05 manual advertised for sale but I think I'm being too generous with the timeframe. Everything else on my car seems to be production spec for the year. I would very much like to have that email for my records......

I am in Afghanistan so give me a day or two to dig through things and find it. I know I have it saved somewhere. I will pm you when I do sir. Happy to help. Kinda doesn't help resale at this time, but in 20 years or so it might.
