Any idea what is under this brass part (circled in red)
My Aston DB9 AC compressor was leaking oil, it was discovered very early so compressor is working fine but I wanted to fix the leak, it was leaking from this circled area. I was able to take off snap ring and the screw in the center but remains brass part keeps on spinning when I insert the screw back I can turn it all the way left or right snd it will spin the hosing so any one knows if there is any special tool needed to remove it ?
I would take that picture to a local Auto AC repair shop and ask them. That's got to be the fill port for the compressor oil which should have an o-ring.
After taking of the snap ring the brass part has a lip you just have to get a thin plier like wire cutter and pull it out. It’s called AC pressure control valves.
