Replacing Vanquish II Taillight

Doesn't seem like it should be too complicated, but just checking to see if anyone has done the DIY replacement on one of these or has any tips. The layout does appear to be different in general from the Vantage/DB9 in that, it doesn't seem to be as easy to access the lights behind the carpet without undoing quite a few fasteners/screws.

Thanks in advance

It’s fairly straightforward. After pulling back the carpet, you will gain access to about six M6 taillight cover screws which need to be removed. The taillight is held on to the car with this cover. Also note that there are a couple of taillight adjusting screws which control the depth of the taillight in relation to the bumper. Sorry to hear your ($4K) taillight needs to be replaced.

Thanks! There is a small carpet covered panel in the trunk right between both lights (I think held on by 6 screws), and I was curious if that needed to be removed for ease-of-access/before pulling back the carpet.

And, yes, that's exactly what it cost...though a few dealerships wanted a couple, to several thousand more just for the replacement.

Hi Silver86, You might want to see the links in the FAQ section of this forum to help you accomplish the change out. There are 2 links that might be of interest. Good luck

My recollection is that the center piece of carpeting does not need to be removed. Good luck.
