No Time To Die

We saw the the new 007 film last night. A lot of action as usual and many chase seems with James Bond driving Aston Martins. It was a very enjoyable movie.

The local AM dealer and AMOC had a private showing of this movie. About 20 Aston Martin's were parked in a private section of the cinema parking lot. Movie had plenty of action and was mid-pack for Craig's Bond movies. Casino Royale is still his best IMO.

I organized a trip for the local AMOC chapter and dealership, and have been 2 other times as well. Loved it! Got better each time, although there was something in my eye at the end.

Certainly allot of product placement for Aston Martin. I wondered why the older Vantage was included, since that car exploded and was destroyed somewhere on the Austrian border...

The movie, IMO, doesn't crack the top 10 of all Bond movies. In regards to Daniel Craig movies it tracks barely above QOS.

I did enjoy seeing movie with my daughter. We've seen all the Craig movies together on opening weekend... that's the best part of the movie!

I have progressively disliked each Daniel Craig Bond move more and more. Casino Royale was fantastic. Maybe the best Bond movie ever. But each successive movie's plot has become worse and worse.
Spectre ruined me. Christopher Waltz manipulated everything in all the previous movies because he had daddy issues? Daddy paid too much attention to James Bond. So he set up Dominic Greene and Javiar Bardem with convoluted worldwide plots to punish Bond.

But I do enjoy the action, and seeing the Astons is worth the price of admission.

My first movie since Covid. It was great getting back to a theater.

I still like Daniel Craig as Bond. Gonna miss him. I don’t think he went out with a bang though.

I thought the progression of Astons was a nice touch.

But…how could MI6 not retire his number???
