This ad below reminded me that it's the significant other or wife that an Aston sales person needs to sell more than the husband. I've been at the Aston dealer three times and within 5 minutes convinced the wife to convince the husband to buy an Aston. How many sold their Aston because of the sig. other or wife? Curious

I usually include my wife's thoughts and ideas in conversations with her... so far I generally know her hot buttons (on purchases) although she generally wasn't happy about a purchase of a manual boxster because she hates driving a stick.

I've never had to sell a purchase or back out of a deal because of a disagreement on purchase, although she was glad when I sold my boxster...

My wife is great. Married 36 years

My thoughts

Having owned a Mooney (new one) and now an Aston Martin, given the same circumstances, I would be shopping for a new wife! Now on the other hand, if she were very rich..........

Mooney and Astons

I've had 2 201's and a 231 - Mooneys are incredible planes - they should bring back the 201 in an updated form - 160 knots at 20MPG.

My wife knew I was looking for a new car and wanted something unique. When we saw a DB 11 in a parking lot she mentioned how she has always loved Aston Martins (whats there not to love) and I should take a look. The rest as they say is history. Obviously she is a keeper. I have been very fortunate. She usually endulges me when it comes to cars since it is my only vice. However, I think drinking or gambling would be cheaper.

When I bought my Vantage I flew out, paid cash and drove it home. She learned of my purchase when I pulled into the driveway. She loves the car but doesn’t drive a manual. I consider myself lucky.

As I search for the right car, I am blessed that I have the full faith and approval of my wife. I wouldn't be able to enjoy it if I didn't.

Of course I don't expect this level support to be free.

She does not care too much about cars. She told me: "If this makes you happy, just buy it. It's your money, and you do not want to be the richest in the cemetery".

My wife asked if mine was an Audi? …. When it comes to my cars and bikes I really don’t care to ask her opinion…

My mother-in-law intensely disliked me from the getgo, which had a big impact on our marriage. After she died, on the very day that my wife received her inheritance she asked me what make of car her mother should give me as a belated present to atone for the miserable way I was treated. I already had a Porsche and Ferrari, so she suggested perhaps an Aston Martin, a make I hadn’t yet owned, would be appropriate to round out my side of the garage. I said sure and presto, a few weeks later a V8 Vantage appeared in the driveway. So I guess you could say my wife had a positive influence.
