Thank you!! Got some inspiration from yours.

Your car is beautiful! Love the puddle lights. I definitely got to do that!
first thing I’d do is a smoke test. There was one on my car from one of the intake manifold likely from when the car had the coil packs done.
I installed the air straighteners the same time the smoke test was done on my car so not sure which one made the codes disappear but my guess is fixing the leak.
the air straighteners were installed by my shop, I’m honestly not sure how they secured them but they assured me they weren’t going anywhere. I think I bought the 3.75” size if I remember right with the “tighter” honeycomb pattern and the shop trimmed to fit.

Great write up and info regarding your exhaust trials. Sounds like what I did as well. I even had Velocity create some "muffler delete" and a "H-pipe" secondary cat delete. I just had to know how much different that would sound then the X-pipe.. Verdict: Identical.

I have settled on straight cat deletes with a Tubi exhaust I customized to work with the OEM valves (via remote) which bypasses the Tubi completely and after 5-6 other options I found this to be my favorite.

You have taken this to the next level with the header work. I missed the info here.. did you replace with aftermarket or modify the remove the primary cats? I'd love to hear more about what you did!

Thank you...and great job!

Eric

Thanks! How did the car sound with the muffler delete? I have a quicksilver supersport muffler laying around, was thinking of having the shop take the oem muffler off and start it up, then install the quicksilver after, as a result be able to hear almost every possibility for exhaust setups for the car and see what I like best.

Thank you!!
The silencer delete pipes were definitely the most "aggressive" sound of all other options I tried. I REALLY liked the sound of the H-pipe, secondary cat delete, combined with the silencer delete pipes. I also tried combined with the straight cat delete pipes and that was VERY aggressive but sounded awesome..just a bit too much awesome.

I've been considering going back to the H-pipe and silencer delete set up. It was definitely my favorite (of the more aggressive combinations).

I also had Velocity build me a dual silencer set up. Just 2 small silencers in place of the large single muffler.

I

wanted to try something between the silencer delete pipes and an aftermarket performance silencer and the dual silencer did exactly as I was hoping it would..they sounded very close to the silencer delete but just took a bit of the aggressive edge off.. hope that makes sense. I have the dual silencers still and would be willing to part with them also.

Forgot to mention in my previous reply running the VAP equal length headers.

that’s a pretty cool setup with the dual mufflers. What was the thought on doing that vs a single muffler and how that would be louder or quieter?

Are you still running the h pipe with your current setup or just secondary cat deletes and tubi muffler?

What a small world. Mike C with the targa showed me your car and I told him, I saw it here somewhere. You need to come down and visit him so I can check out this DBS! I have a fully built V8V.

Amazon or Ebay will have them. But buy an extra. My driver side faded after about a year.
