V8VS Rod bearing knock / Maryland mechanic?

I have a 2014 V8 Vantage S with 10,900 miles, it had an oil change 500~ miles ago. I have only had the car for about 2 months (500 miles or so), I had not really pushed the car hard until yesterday. I was out on some fun back roads in our area (montgomery county Maryland), when after a bit of harder acceleration my engine began making a noise very similar to this post,

https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...g-ticking.html

I believe it is either a rod bearing / main bearing / who knows. I had the car towed to my house and will need to tow it a good shop in my area. I would prefer not to deal with the dealership in my area, as i have read some pretty awful things about it. Upon a light search I found Rosso Service (rossoservice.com) which is not to far from me. Not sure if any members have any experience with them?

I am curious to see if anyone in the Maryland area has a shop they recommend for what i am assuming is a MAJOR job.

Open to any suggestions - thanks in advance - dave

your other excellent option is Steelwings in Philadelphia. Others on this forum have used them quite a bit.

Best of luck

I fully concur with Steelwings - they are the best. They work on new AM and restore older ones. Just visiting the shop is wonderful, seeing DB4, DB5 and DB6 in the wild. They do all the work on my DB9.

And if this is a true engine out rebuild/replacement, the cost to ship it to Phili will be round-off error... I would call them first and get a consult and a ROM on the cost.

Good luck!
