I'm about to pull the trigger on a 08 roadster with 39k miles.

Clutch was changes about 10k miles ago.

Where should I get the inspection done? Am in bev hills wants $500. No way I'm paying that. What's a good Indy shop in Los Angeles?

Thanks!!!

I would bring it to them and pay them what they want. They will know exactly what they are looking for in terms of problems. If you arent willing to pay 500.00 for the peace of mind that the Dealer will give you. Then you might be paying a lot more to fix what somebody that doesnt have the experience will miss. And these cars are not on the inexpensive side to repair.

But being in LA there may be more shops that specialize in higher end cars unlike in my area.

I second that. call John at OGARA ( they were just with us sunday at our local meet and drive... Tell him Breezman referred you, he is great and honest and the prices are very reasonable. you are about to spend thousands of dollars and imho 500 is well worth knowing all the details!!!

Get a PPI. That $500 could save you thousands. If you're spending $100k on a car you need to protect your asset just like inspecting a house before buying it.

If you were a little further South I'd say New Tickford Street all day long.

If you want exhaust, wheels, alignment/corner balance, body work, fluid changes etc, I can recommend indy shops (two of my close friends own shops that work on exotics).

But for PPI, get it done by factory techs. $500 is a good deal. Galpin wants $650 or something.
