Great job. How many chiropractic session you had to go through to adjust your body?

Lots of ways to tweak exhausts... nice write up

My exhaust is simple. Straight pipes... no tune needed ro get rid of codes...

The sound is glorious!

That is good to know. I've read mixed reviews for the manifolds and x pipe in terms on how loud it is. Some complain its too loud, some say not loud enough. However, I will say that the manifolds really open the note up. That in combination with the X-Pipe will be exciting. Say tuned for the exhaust clips.

I have the x-pipe and it does give it a more exotic sound, along with secondary cat deletes.
Ahhh I see what you did there "exhausted" Yea if you have 4.3L there really isnt a restrictive primary cat so save the trouble I guess. However, I have heard and seen that it is easier to remove those than the 4.7L post MY10.5 bc of that massive 400 cell unit.

Im still getting readjusted, to be honest. I was really hoping to get the x-pipe while in the middle of this install so I could get it done at the same time. Unfortunately, they are really behind so this will be an early fall install as I am tired of being under the car. Do you have any sound clips? Would love to hear the X-Pipe. It will be interesting to compare our setups. VAP headers, 200 cell and xpipe vs stock headers, cat delete and xpipe.

Yea one of the guys in our Aston DMV group basically has straight pipes. Needless to say, I do not follow behind him, always in front of him as I tend to miss my shift because I cant hear. LOL

Fantastic write up and Job. that's is a huge undertaking and you guys did it really well.
Haven't done it on my Aston but done it on corvette race car too many times to count.

I just switched over to the Fabspeed X pipe, which is a 2nd cat delete and its literally perfect now
the tone is amazing.. I cant wait to hear a video of yours with headers I can imagine its loud as hell!

Are you in CA? If so what are you plans on emissions?

That's an awesome setup. I'm assuming you have a 4.7L post MY10.5 where they still have the primary cats (400 cell) in the header to be able to do a secondary cat delete integrated into the x pipe? That setup and this is just me guessing, will sound much higher pitch than my setup as your integrated x-pipes are closer to your engine. Although, it would be an interesting comparison with X-Pipe with upgrade headers. I like fabspeeds product and their R&D facility. I was just there visiting them in November. The DMV Aston guys are planning a trip up to their open house in the spring.

I live in MD so we get emissions tested every 2 years. That is why I opted to delete the 400 cell and 600 cell and replace with 200 cell.

Correct 2016 4.7 Manual w Sport Exhaust with the VAP tune
So I still have the cats on the stock headers and will still pass emissions since they secondaries arent monitored.
The tone is really incredible. I Did one little video of the just some revs in the garage but need to capture the tone
at 7k when shifting through the gears!

Good luck with it!

Thanks and very nice setup! When you say sport exhaust, I'm assuming the backbox since you swapped the fabspeed xpipes? I still have a factory backbox. Send me a link to the sound clip. I'd love to hear it.

I had X pipe cat delete and have a valved Larini back box. The sound really never came on till around 5000 RPM, above that it is nice. In normal driving the car was as quiet as any normal sedan. That's why I replaced with cat delete pipes. Yours may be different with the headers. Unfortunately it's hard to get any sound clips with an i phone that represent the true sound.

I usually drive weekend early mornings before idiots get on the road. Here in Florida, usually windows down and love the sound from the drivers seat...

It can be a bit loud during gear changes... but as you said... it's all behind me! LOL
