V8 Vantage Spark Plugs

I have been looking for sometime trying to find those NGK IFR7N10 / 97105 Spark Plug Iridium not in Aston Martin packaging and today I found some in the UK and they seems to ship world wide so I will give it a try.

if you do a quick google search for gsparkplug you should be able to find them no problem, they ended up being about 1/3 price of the Aston Martin, so $136.87cdn including shipping that's only about $108.00usd for all 8 or $13.50usd each, Wow.

I have used this outfit. Got NGK O2 sensors. 4 for about a $200. Have not installed them yet. NGK said they supply AM O2 sensors. I will have to wait and see. Nine inches of snow where I live right now.

Lol, I know exactly what you mean in am in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada and we are getting some snow also. After seeing them I thought that I should order them so like that I will be able to get them change when the car comes out of storage. I have about 75k Kms on mine so I will do a little more this year, like coolant flush, spark plugs, accessory belt, cabin filter and the regular annually oil change and overall inspection of everything else. Just starting to get everything for April 2022 :-)

Don't know what to say, they are up in price like crazy as I paid $108USD for 8 only a few months ago.... guess too many people bought them and they re-adjusted their price but that is crazy increase for sure

i'd probably take one plug out and then to your favorite autoparts store, ask them for a couple with the same length of threads and connector and try it out. they shouldn't cost more than five or six dollars. make sure to gap them. see if it makes a difference, i doubt that it will. spark plugs should not cost more than $10 each as far as i'm concerned. aston is counting on the ignorance and naivety of its clients. it's shameful, IMO.

I agree, they should not be that expensive, my first option was to get the equivalent ones made by jaguar which are still expensive. I want to get an equivalent plug as the part # has specific characteristics that I want to maintain.

I emailed NGK tech support asking for their recommendation on replacements for US-based customers for the IFR7N-10 plug, this is what they responded with:
1 – IFR7F-8DS (comes out of the box gapped at .032” so will need to be adjusted up to .038” ~ .040”)

2 – IFR7G-11KS (comes out of the box gapped at .044” so will need to be adjusted down to .038” ~ .040”)

3 – Platinum plug, PFR7H-10 which comes out of the box gapped at .040”. only difference is you will lose approximately 20k miles on the service interval.
I'm sure there are other options out there with other manufacturers, but this at least keeps it an NGK plug. I picked up the IFR7G-11KS from RockAuto for a decent price, adjusted the gaps, and put them in my '09 V8V. It's been running fine with no issues for a few months now.

good for you Acole! ya, a little over ten dollars apiece. more like it... and gap them. BITD it was SOP. hard to believe people take them out of the box in install them without checking. that gap can be easily altered with an errant bump or bang even though they've packaged them to avoid it.

I had to double check the price for the original NGK plugs from GSparkPlug to see for myself the price was now $41.89 each - wow.. I bought 8 from them back in February - total cost including shipping was $107.71. I won't need to replace them for a while but good to know there are less expensive options available when the time comes.
