Does anyone know how to [safely] remove the center console/trim in the 2019+ MY Vantage? I'm looking to perform a carplay infotainment upgrade. Does the rear cross bar behind the seats have to be removed? I'm used to being able to pop out the inner armrest area exposing screws and going from there. What's the trick with these?

 

For the price of admission, I would subscribe to AM for research for removal and plan on a lengthy rework time frame. What CarPlay unit are you installing?

Ther is a guy on YouTube that recently worked on a crashed Vantage. I believe his name in Matt Armstrong. That might help you.

 

Did anyone figure this out, I’m in the same boat, saw you have to remove those knee pad thingies, but the rest in Mat’s video was too fast.

I just installed an Android tablet with car launcher. Didn't have to remove a single screw..

 

Wow, thats way batter than I thought Id ever get. One more question, removing the clips…..is that a brute force thing, a lever thing (with like a screwdriver or something) or something more precise?

Yea, I did lot of research on what would give me the functionality without tearing up the console....

You should use plastic tools for removing dashboards... You have to wedge at an angle and slowly pull up towards the ceiling. Like opening a paint can...
