The 2011 V8 Vantage I bought this fall needed some TLC (paint correction and stone chip repair mostly), then X-pel full front clip and Ceramic. The hood pins (fake) are temporary as they hide a deep scratch/dent, so a $40 fix for a future $1200 problem to be addressed. I got a new (never really used) Quicksilver exhaust for just $1,000 but it's a touring exhaust, so I just ordered CAT delete from VelocityAP through Morries Aston Martin in Minneapolis (now a VelocityAP dealer). The wheels were switched to 20" front and 21" rear from a DB9 that I bought from this website, and installed new Michelin PS4's installed at my location from Tire Rack Mobile. The car came with just one key with a chip in the glass, so I was able to fine a new key for $900, luckily. I wanted to replace my iridium silver ski-slope and add glass buttons to the slope area where they are most visible. I ordered from Aston Martin Bits which they assumed the 2011 had the newer metal backing style, but mine was plastic when we went to replace it. They did not have the plastic to metal conversion kit and rumor was it was no longer available, so I returned the Bamboo panel that was delivered. Then at the install, I discovered the 'Sport' glass button was also the wrong one and I needed the earlier version, Aston Martin Bits had the right button to me within 5 days and we installed it in the iridium ski slope.
I ordered from Aston Martin Bits the AMR grill at a price a fraction of what others are offering the Grill for, and from Amazon KiWAV 4" Motorcycle Headlights to replace my bent (and missing pieces) grill. This mod was mostly done by my son and myself who's skill is average at best. The link below downloads a PDF (not sure it will work) with what we did to install everything, and experiment with different finishes. While we were messing with the grill, Aston Martin Bits notified me that they got the plastic to metal ski-slope conversion kit and I got the that installed as we were finishing up on the grill and lighting.
Hard to get a good front end picture - car's parked in the office and I don't want to start it till spring, but here is a front shot with desk in the way. We wired the lights to the headlight socket (we meaning an Aston Martin tech I hired to help) so no extra switches, they come on with the headlights. It's a bit too much light so I ordered Lamin-x smoked 3.75" diameter film to soften the light a bit. Not sure yet if I'll add a bezel to the lights, but I like the way they look as is, and bezels might be just too much going on. I actually ordered 4" Smith Gauge chrome bezels ($50 each) - the identical bezels used in a DB5 which would have been cool, but the 4" was outside diameter, not inside, so they did not fit.

Love the bamboo. I have to say I'd rather see an ugly dent than those hood pins though. The dent looks like an unfortunate accident, the pins look like you have poor taste, with an Aston. A contrary observation?
The dent and scratch are actually worse than the hood pins! The hood pins are attached to the Xpel that I have to replace ($600) and the dent and respray another $600. I love the V12S hood, but will likely do the fix this summer when scheduling allows (shop and my time).
