DB9 rear strut options
Gday all from down under.
Well looks like I might be up for a pair of rear shocks/struts. Have checked Scuderia, and in my 40 years of owning all sorts of cars, this would easily be the most ridiculous price for a spare part I've ever come across (Not Scuds fault by the way). When I got the quote I thought they may have quoted me on struts for an AMR21
but no, 2200aud per strut was apparently correct.
So with the rant over, I have a few questions :
My car is the update model, late 2008 (crystal key etc) does that mean the struts are different to the 04 to 07?
Are the struts rebuildable? I don't recall anyone ever saying they were.
If I'm going to spend nearly 4.5k on struts I'll be damned if I'm going to add to AMs profits, what are the alternatives?

UPDATE : So don't leave a spare litre of oil in the right side boot recess, Murphy undid the lid and deposited a litre of oil into the recess which then leaked out and made me think a strut had blown, lol

Have you looked at prices for complete adjustable coil overs? Pre 2009 MY are of poor quality especially when aged. AP VELOCITY does the Nitron brand. Not sure on cost of exchange rate $ and shipping. And there is BC racing also.
