Catalytic Converters 2008 V8V

Anyone know the best place to buy Catalytic converters for a USA 4.3 2008 Vantage? And part numbers if possible? Oh and it's California so 200 cels won't pass inspection.

Thank You

Have you failed testing already? What do you currently have installed 200cel catalyst I'm assuming.

Rare to have catalyst failure on a Vantage. Before you buy new OEM catalyst I would definitely have someone else check it out.

I've been looking too. I got a P0420 code. Took it to a shop who did extensive testing on the O2 sensors and unfortunately determined the CATS were going bad. As stated above, I might get a second opinion. I have new O2 sensors on hand ready to install, and he did admit there is a tiny chance that was the issue, but was adamant he didn't think so. But I can't find new stock CATs anywhere online. Oh, and they are really, really expensive.

One very reasonable thing you can try for the P420 is oxygen sensor extensions they alter the the sensitivity of the downstream sensor to prevent the code from flagging. Since the sensors are mounted vertical there may not be enough room for a straight version, but they do make 90* ones that may fit.

Finally found an online store selling new original OEM parts.

https://www.scuderiacarparts.com/]Car Parts Online | Performance Car Parts | Scuderia Car Parts

Part # is BG33-5E211-AB for the Right Converter, BG33-5E213-AB for the Left Converter

Not as bad as I thought. For both converters, and gaskets, with shipping came to $2767.

Interesting, when I sent them a message to check my VIN I was told they were no longer available to order. This was yesterday.

Did the car have a chance to warm up fully. You know at least 30 minutes of driving before you tested? There are posts related to the car not being driven enough before the test to get everything warmed up. Just a thought. I bet you can find used cat online much cheaper.
