last time I was pulled over for over 120 was in a 55 my license was suspended and fined $300 in Virginia... dodged going to jail...it was 1983...

Since then all my violations have been written for no more than 19 over the speed limit.

 

In VA today you would spend 3 days in jail, at the judges discretion and lawyers influence of course. VA is not the state you want to play speed racer in [yet, I drove back from my sons from NC to Richmond in 2015 at 3am sitting on 140 in a 370Z, it was before I knew, VA don't play!]

14 over is ok, no insurance points. Over 14 is a 4 point ticket and insurance raises rates. That's in your own state [or mine anyway]. Depending on the state, in NJ any out of state ticket comes in as 2 point no matter the infraction.
