update today, Aston will try a new center stack switch. They replaced it once now doing it again. Some poor tech is having to tear out the center dash twice now. I imagine he is ready to torch the car.
Waiting on parts of course. Update to follow. Thinking now i should extend warranty. This would be a lot of dollars of warranty even though it seems freakish.

What worries me is that they really are not troubleshooting it, they seem to be guessing. Its not like its an intermittent thing, its a hard failure which can they could troubleshoot component by component, signal/message by signal/message.
Yes my concern completely. This is not a Toyota and a reoccurring problem down the road could be a serious expense. I am thinking if this next measure is not a convincing success, I will begin pushing on Aston as there is something called breach of warranty but I dread that thought. I love the brand.
update, today I traveled over 100 miles to visit my servicing dealer, Aston Summit Nj. If you ever get a chance to visit, I would encourage it. The people are extraordinarily welcoming. The dealership is tiny with three lifts and small showroom. It is an absolute throw back to the ‘60’s. I met with Jordan the service manager along with his parts guy Austin amongst the working techs. The service office is literally in the garage. No stuffy bureaucratic dealership here. Unbelievably personal.
but on to the car. Today they installed the second switch pack and still no joy. They are doing all they can and the issue has been escalated back to the uk. They are completely stumped. To their suggestion, I contacted corporate customer service. We now will see how things progress. I am so hoping we find an amiable solution to the cars repair. I have no intention of abandoning the brand. But, now we are at about two months in since the issue arose and my monthly payments continue. So far to for the pleasure of saying I own an Aston that is sitting life out at the dealer. Btw, it is/was a daily driver. Hoping for better days ahead

I agree that the guys at Aston Summit are great.
This really screams for just finding the right person that understands the system and knows how to trouble-shoot it (or a document explaining it). It certainly exposes a weakness in both the diagnostic ability of the electronics and the Aston service documentation.

Update, today AM reached out from customer service. Two corporate techs have consulted and feel the media controller wheel could be the issue which had not been considered prior. They are going to swap it from a functional car. Really impressed with the immediate response from corporate. Once again hopeful! Updates to follow
Make sure they swap whatever cable is used to attach that wheel and not just the wheel since a bad cable could cause a lot of the same behaviors as a bad wheel.
Glad my car isn't there right now so they don't use it as the "functional car".
