Stolen AM
Very sad to see. At the end of the day, just hand over the keys and get a new one later. Firstly, nothing is your worth your life when someone is potentially willing to take it. Everyone wants to act like a tough guy, until you're not here anymore. Secondly, if you are successful and don't get shot/killed first and you fight back, then all the BS of getting tied up in court for killing someone (whether you're innocent, guilty, standing your ground, castle doctrine, whatever you want to call it) and all the lawyers, money, time, effort, and days in jail, not worth it. We all have insurance and we all have ourselves and our loved ones.
“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”
Sorry guys didn't mean to derail the thread.

With regard to justification, the number of attackers (two against one) coupled with being inside a home, in my opinion, totally justifies neutralizing the threat right then, and right there. If the man was in fear of his life during a premeditated car jacking in his own home, well, consequences of a permanent nature do happen. In that circumstance, calmly handing over the keys under duress and threat of violence is no guarantee you're walking out of that garage alive either even if you do acquiesce to the demand.
In this instance...being inspired to confront and overcome evil.
Untrained people with a gun leads to nothing but false courage and a disastrous outcome.
So many situations can be avoided or dealt with by simply having good situational awareness and common sense.

I don't think anyone is advocating for a lack of training.
I have extensive training from the Army, as a contractor, and from PMC training organizations, as well as martial arts training. I am going to go out on a limb here and suggest others have similar backgrounds in this thread.
