Tinted or privacy glass?

Does anyone know if the "tinted"glass we have on the Gaydon era cars was colored glass or applied tinting? I'm looking at carbon tinting for heat reflection and have done some casual research but I am not certain of the answer to that question. If anyone knows, thanks! It does say 'tinted glass' on the spec sheet, but its sufficiently ambiguous as to not answer the question.

Is my understanding that the "tint" is still almost clear with just a slight color. The privacy tint is aftermarket and dark. All the windows on my Vantage are dark privacy tint and clear UV tint on windshield

I don't think it's a film like you want to apply.

rereading your post. I think the "tint" is in the glass... your window film provider can tell if the car has and film on it.

LuvBurninFuel is infamous around these parts
The glass is what is tinted in automobiles. A manufacturer would never use film to tint.
