Hey I'm in the west coast and looking to get the VAP twin plate clutch for my V8 Vantage pretty soon here. Can anybody vouch for some shops experienced with this upgrade on this side of the country? Preferably in or around Arizona since thats where I live... but I would travel a bit if needed.

Obviously AM dealers don't apply here, they don't seem too happy to install aftermarket stuff and the Scottsdale dealer here told me it would be a 13 hour job for the regular clutch (quoted $11,000 USD), when everyone else says its only a 9 hour job!!!

Well, some AM dealers DO fit: San Diego Aston Martin is a VAP dealer.

VAP is just over the border in Oliver, British Columbia. Not quite west coast, but close, and you would see some beautiful country up here in the Pac NW. Drop off the car and head a bit further north to sample the ice wines around Lake Okanagan.

in Scottsdale did mine. Very professional shop, but very busy. BTW, my V8V was probably the cheapest car in the shop.

They are well known shop and you should feel confident they can handle this job. I know some others who have brought their cars there with positive results.

 

Robbie and Peninsula European in the Bay Area California can do it. He can give you a quote if you call or email him.

He's a former Aston Technician and has installed both VAP and AMR clutches.
