Rapide No Rear Belt in use Error

I've noticed sometimes my car says "no rear belt in use." If i restart the car it goes away. Any ideas? Thanks!

It always says that if you open the rear doors, whether you use the rear seat belts or not. Just acknowledge it with the Info button and it goes away.

If I click read it is still stored as a message unless I restart the car. Is that normal behavior?

Yeah, mine does that too. It stores the message but doesn't display it unless I cycle through the info message for that drive. Afterwards when I restart the car, it goes away.

I found out in the manual there is a way to disable the message.

To Disable or Enable the Rear Seat Belt Reminder
• Make sure that the ignition is set to OFF (ignition position '0') and
that both rear seat belts are unfastened.
• Set the ignition to ON (ignition position 'II') and within 60 seconds
fasten and unfasten a rear seat belt nine times. Finish with the belt
unfastened.
• The message ENABLE/DISABLE REAR SEAT BELT REMINDER? will
show in the message centre (right). Within five seconds fasten and
unfasten the rear seat belt once more.
• The conformation message REAR SEAT BELT REMINDER
ENABLED/DISABLED will show for 30 seconds.
The warning messages are always available, press the READ button to view stored messages.
