Rapide window seal

Good afternoon, has anybody ever replaced the rear window seal on their Rapide? See bad seal VS good seal pictures.
Mine needs to be replaced/fixed, and the dealer is telling me I need a whole new window...
The problem is it creates wind noises as soon as I hit 50/60 mph...
Is there an alternative fix?
Thanks in advance!

Bad seal:

Good seal:

Unfortunately the window seal is not sold separately and the dealer is right that you need to buy the entire window assembly...

You may be able to find a spare window at a yard and peel off the weatherstrip and use it

As an add-on post , if anyone's got ageing weatherstrips there's some preventative maintenance that can be done. I find that the weatherstrip material on my Aston is at-best 'average'.

There's one miracle product the OEMs use, and it's not cheap, but it works absolute wonders: Krytox "White Lightning" . Costs around $40 per fl/oz ,but it works and applies like nothing else I've seen on the market. I do it on my car, 2x a year on sun exposed weatherstrip, and 1x on the rest.

It's also available as a Ford OE Part # WS0850102

Another product Ive used that works well is "303 Rubber Seal Protectant" , costs a lot less and works well, maybe not as good on already dry weatherstrip material.

I’m prob wrong…but sure looks like a window miss alignment issue rather than a seal…could just be the pics…

I was hoping to find just that seal (even an aftermarket one or any kind of automotive trim) and install in place of the worn one.
I like your "find a used window" idea though.
Thanks!

What makes you say that? I can have a look at it, for sure.
Thanks!

I use this on my BMW Z4 roadster rubber seals and it's great...I started using it on all my vehicles...a little bit goes along way

It’s odd..but in the first pic..it doesn’t look like the two windows are in perfect alignment..could be a trick of the camera..looks off towards the top of the right hand glass…

https://www.alibaba.co.th/product-detail/For-Aston-Martin-Rapide-S-AMR_1601517292645.html

here the same ref number pops for an amr, it could be that its available for amr only and its probably similar then?

https://www.ebay.com/itm/365778608982

if you buy one let me know how it goes as i did cut 1 inche from one of mine that was floating there a small detached portion of it, i dont even know where now, from the outside both of mine look great though.
watch we don't need a left one and a right one, they may send you two left or two right ones as they dont seems to diferentiate them.

the seller updated the auction they do have both now left and right seal, for 400.
but the diagram he showed seems to be a diffferent seal, like an horizontal one or i understand nothing.

The seller finally could provide where the seal goes and I think it's the same. The one that is normally bonded to the window is well available alone.
It's probably better than other seal way too short I be seen on PH .

Just received the spare seal today.
So far it's looking good!
Now the main question is: What is the best way to bond the seal to the glass? Some kind of windshield sealant? Or what do you guys recommend?
Thank you.
