Vantage 2006 Infotainment & Screen upgrade/Replacement

Has anyone upgraded/replaced your 2005-2008 Vantage V8 infotainment system & screen?
I am seeking a solution, in the USA, for upgrade/replacement of the infotainment system including screen with a modern system.

Several of us have removed the original electronics from the navigation display and installed a Garmin DrveSmart 66 in the hollow clamshell. Takes some DIY smarts but is eminently do-able and the result is more than satisfactory — a completely up-to-date, upgradable nav system and display, and for very little cash.
Searching this forum for DriveSmart 66 should pull up some how-to discussions and pics.

Looked into it . However, the DriveSmart fits the screen opening on the hollow clamshell perfectly, does not require web access at any point to operate, and is way inexpensive (got mine factory refurbished on eBay for $140, and the wireless Garmin BC-40 backup camera for $90) The graphics are very good. Frankly I’m thrilled with it.

i installed a DriveSmart66, it has voice control, touchscreen, bluetooth, wifi, phone integration and inexpensive.

i thought you were refering to this which a few have installed. check the facebook groups. they like it but indicate it is an advanced installation not for the faint hearted
