Fellow V8V Roadsters et al: Thank you for helping me sort this out....here is what I did thus far-

1) replaced the Convertible Roof Module (CRM) with a used one that a AM Forum member friend provided me- it worked flawlessly from 08May until today (operated maybe 8-9 times w/out issue)
2) also in May, I replaced the motor gears (2 gears)- the plastic one had noticeable wear on part of the wheel/threads
3) relocated the CRM from the goofy location under the wheel liner RR wheel to the right side of the trunk/boot for better protection from the weather and easier access.
One obvious thing would be to buy ANOTHER CRM (maybe a new one) and then see IF that works.....IDK........ANY suggestions would be appreciated.

 

OK - the latest is that the top, when the engine is running and underway, DOES now work. Sheetite---- in my 8 months of ownership, the top has operated both with the key in but NOT running and the aforementioned way. Really?? Curious as to how the Factory designed the top to operate. OM is of no help---(or I can't find it--)

How is you battery health, have you checked the voltage reading of the battery with the engine off ?

Yes sir- I trickle charge it every day. And it's a brand new (OCT 2023) battery. Used car, but I have the receipt for it so I know it's legit. Appreciate the comment (insert Thumbs Up here)
