CRM failed

You did go to the left side/rear wheel, right?
As mentioned, you remove the wheel well liner, then there's a rectangular panel at about the 11 o'clock position as you look at the side of the car. The CRM is actually attached to the back of the panel (the replacement part includes a new panel). Be careful with the fuel overflow drain tube, which is clipped to the back of the liner.
Be aware that removing the CRM won't allow you to close the roof - you need a new unit for that. Simply removing the CRM WILL make all the other associated gremlins go away, however.
I assume that you've tried the roof after letting the car sit and cool down, right? Many times the problem is intermittent, and after sitting the car for a while the roof will work again. Then you can remove the CRM with the roof closed and use it until you get a new unit.
In most cases you'll have to take your car to the dealer to get it flashed after a new CRM install.

I had accessed the plate, but the part nbr was way different then the one I ordered, just wanted to make sure I had the area. I confirmed with AM dealer that it was the correct part, apparently some where along the way the part number changed and I mean the whole part number, not just the last letter.
Anyway, thanks for the help!!

As of June, the CRM part# was 9G43-L53085-AE. Not sure when that was implemented or if it's been replaced.

That is what I found out, the part nbr on mine is completely different. From what dealership told me, they changed the part nbr sometime ago. So when I took took the CRM out and saw that part nbr, made me think I pulled the wrong part, hence my question.

Not all roof concerns are caused by the CRM... you may have other issues with wiring, hydraulics, latches, or sensors.

My CRM was the newest part number and didn't require a visit to the dealer.

Honestly, it was sort of trial and error until I got them to work. I think what I did was I used the roof switch to either close or open all the windows (even though they weren't all moving) until the rear quarters were both completely open or closed and then held that switch for several seconds. Then using the window switches I put the front windows in the matching position and held each of those switches for several seconds. Then I tried the roof switch and viola!

I saw someone post that they found a you tube video about fixing my issue by bending the the metal tang of the roof switch on the a pillar. Has anyone seen this video?
I did a search and could not find the video.
