2014 Vanquish Interior Lights Won't Turn Off
Hi all,
I obtained a 2014 Vanquish a few weeks ago, had it PPI'd, all came back great, and has been driving great since I obtained it. I didn't notice this when I got it but a couple days ago, I noticed that none of the interior cabin lights are turning off. This would include the reading lights, footwell lights, and the rear passenger lights. Touching the reading light bezels does nothing, I've confirmed that all doors, hood, trunk, are properly closed, and the lights do turn off a few minutes after pulling the key. Any ideas? The dimmer **** to the side of the headlights **** only adjusts the brightness of the dash.
Thanks!

I had this issue with my V8 Vantage as well, even when driving the reading lights would never turn off and the switches didn't work to turn them off either. For me it turned out to be a slight misalignment of the trunk, it was ever so slightly off center enough that it wasn't fully compressing the switch to let the car know the trunk was closed. Mine would also turn off after a few minutes after pulling the key, but would stay on while driving the car. Sounds like you've confirmed that the doors and trunk are fully closed, but are you still seeing any warning saying they're not?
I unplugged the accessible battery terminal overnight. I haven't had an opportunity to drive around but this time, the lights did eventually turn off with the key inserted. There may be something to the trunk thing though as when I reconnected the terminal, I was able to hear that sound the trunk makes when it latches on. I'll see how it all reacts when I take a drive a little later - now the passenger seat wont go forward and back but all the other seat functions work. I wonder if I knocked something loose 😅. I'll report back, thanks fellas!

No luck! Turning on the engine, lights were off so I thought that I had it. A couple minutes later, they all came back on again. Rechecked doors and trunk but couldn't identify anything strange. Guess I'll have to take her in to see what the issue is 😥.
If you're not getting a warning message then you may be dealing with something different than my situation, I knew mine was trunk related in some way because I had the warning message that the trunk was open when it was definitely closed. Hopefully it's something minor!
Alright so I think I figured this out. I looked into the reading lamp bezels again. I popped them off and noticed metal contact inside the housing. Touching that would turn the lights off! I noticed the way the bezels popped off, the little connector bits were not touching the contacts. Rearranged the bezels a bit on reinsertion and twisted them a bit to lock em in place. Touching the bezels now turns the lights off and the rest of the lights turn off once turning the engine on. Only thing I can think of wad that on one particular drive, the streets were BUTT Cheeks and perhaps the car shaking hard from those rough roads loosened them up? Idk lol. Very interesting though.
