Aston Installation CarPlay sound problem

Hello all. I have a new to me 07 V8 Vantage. It came with the Aston Installation CarPlay and front/rear camera system. I can get the CarPlay to connect to my phone and show up on the screen. I can navigate through it all just fine. However I can't hear anything. No sound at all when in CarPlay mode. I can't find any user manuals for it only a system install guide. Any advice here? Thanks!

Tashakes is infamous around these parts
The stereo may need to be in AUX input. That is how my CarPlay is but not the Aston Installations one.

I’ve got an Aston Installations system and that’s how mine works too. Also, I had to reset the system to get it to work. On mine, this is done via a red (or yellow) button on a box under the passenger side glove box.

Thanks. I tried the reset button and still no sound. Do you know the steps in the process to connect my phone to the system? Maybe I have something out of sequence.....

Does anyone know what the Kenwood button with volume up and down that sits next to the control unit is for? Is it part of the CarPlay set up?

That is most probably to select front/rear camera

I remember talking to a vendor about CarPlay for my 2007 Vantage and they said I would need an additional part to get sound. I did not pursue it further.
I suspect Aston Installations should know what that is. You could try to contact them.
