Waiting list for Vantage?

I'm planning on owning a Vantage this january but I was wondering how bad are the waiting lists are.

An independent dealer I know of said he could get one no problem he needs about 1 or 2 monthes time to get ahold of one. He says he an get one right now 5 K off MSRP while my local AM dealership gave me a waiting list of 3 years.

Im from BC canada and this dealer gets cars from teh states and brings them over here for his customers.

Do you think this guy knows what he is talking about? I hate to wait and then find out he cannot get my order then i would be way to late to of put my order in for this car or any other car for that matter that is in high demand ( considering GT3 )

The Vantage wait list in Toronto Canada is about 1 year about 80 orders. Sales told me expect to be sooner (there were always ppl back out). I think 1-2 months with 5K off is BS, 3 years wait also BS.

The dealers at my AM dealership are slightly more shady, i regret not having porsche service anymore if I buy this car. I do not believe 3 years also whih doesnt make sense.

Well what that particular dealer does is he does is get cars from the states. Right now he can get 997's for about 20 K off msrp.

Well no because I live in Canada and over here a 911S is 120,000.
U.S is 79,000 U.S. exchnage rate is really good so what he does is bring it over from the states.
