Oh, I see... I thought it was the car you are talking about because I test drove a Meteor Grey/red leather S5, at McGrath last month.

Yeah, I think all the dealers have the same color combo for the demo.

If you will keep the car for a long time, pass on it.
If you will lease it, or just keep it for 2-3 years, it might be an easy way to save a few Gs.
Really depends on price...
I don't mind a rough break-in as long as I'm not keeping the car forever.

Pass. I drove one of these as well and was encouraged to drive the car hard. Car had less than 300 miles.

My question is, should I jump on this offer or pass? I'm a bit skeptical on what price will be and how much this car has been beat on as well. It's a gray car fully loaded with the red seats with an MSRP just over 58k.

Thoughts?
If you REALLY want to know how hard the car has been driven, simply slip the lead Audi tech a twenty and have him "read" the scanner. It will give him a lot of RPM, speed and shift data that might ease or increase your frustration.

I'm concerned about all these demos being grey/red. These may become the hardest cars to sell later on. If you're buying, I'd say wait for a new one you personally spec. If leasing, get the best possible price and you'll be fine because you're not the one who has to get rid of it later.

Good point. I was actually wondering the exact same thing myself since Audi made a strange decision in giving every dealer the same color combo. Meteor/Red is going to be the ***** of the S5 in the coming 6 months or so.

Thanks for all the help everyone. I think I am going to pass at this point but will entertain an offer just in case the price is too good to pass up.

i'd make sure you get a huge deal and ask for an extended warranty as part of the deal. With those things and as long as it's visually in good shape I'd go for it.

Really?

I already made a deal for one in Milwaukee though. They are giving me good money on trade ($1500 more than carmax) and $500 off MSRP of S5.
