Arrow Why No RS8?

I know when you clicked this thread you thought, "WHAT!?". But i'm not asking about the V12 R8. My question is... why isn't there an RS8 sedan off the A8 model? Is Audi even entertaining the idea? Anyone know?

Because Audi doesnt think it would sell well. They leave the RS to the smaller more sportier A4/A6/A5 chassis.
Stupid I know but if they built a RS8 I would get one fer sure. Something to the tune of a TTV10 and LESS weight, I know its a dream but a nice one.

For the same reason there isn't a BMW ///M7. Although Benz has the S65 AMG, IMHO the S600 is a much better overall package. The luxo-barge sporty sedans are just a big bag of compromises and don't do anything in particular very well.
