Best for Daily Driver

I've been needing a new daily driving since I turned in my M3. I am looking for something comfortable, looks good, can be modded, and fast/fun to drive everyday.

I have been looking at an S5, but I can't find a sprint blue one anywhere, and the only way I can get one is if I order one which will be here end of August. The problem is that I need something now.

Then I started looking at the RS4, but for what it is, it seems like it is a lot of money. I like other cars better once you get into the high 70 price area.

What are your thoughts on the S4? Anyone know where I can find a sprint blue one with blue/black interior? new.

Any help would be great!

Finding a Sprint Blue S4 shouldn't be too hard, however I don't think you'll find that interior. I believe they only offered the blue/black combo on B6's.

There's a bunch of pre-owned sprint blue S4's on Autotrader right now. The only thing is they all have either black or white leather.

Smile

i test drove a DTM blue S4 before i settled with my Ibis white S4.
it was close but the blue one was a demo with about 2k miles on it.
the S4 is a blast to drive. yes there are other cars that are "better", but every time i hear that V8 come to life it puts a huge smile on my face.
then there is the practicality of having a Quatro whe the white stuff comes down!

Audi sure has the right sound in their V8's. The new S5 even stock sounds phenomenal.

I like the Rs4, but is it worth the $1,500 or so/Month (financing)? I don't want to go crazy since it's a daily driver, but I want something fun to drive, and gas mileage is also now a consideration. If I go for the S4, I would want a new car and not preowned. The reason I started to look at the S4 was because I saw all of the Sprint Blue cars on Autotrader! Nice find!

Lightly used RS4's I believe are in the low 60's now...I love my S4, makes a great noise, but not great with gas. If you're looking for good gas mileage, Audi V8's are not what you want, IMO...but it's worth it to me.

I get better gas mileage in my 997TT than in the S4. It is definitely not the car to buy if you're concerned about the cost of gas. What about the 335i? I suspect that is probably better on gas.

I am actually going to look at the 335i today. I am worried that the numbers will be too high and I will end up with the M3 though. Which of course wouldn't be bad, but I think the 335i goes for around 800/month and the M3 is around 1200/month. Depending what they want to move, numbers can be close to make the jump. At the same time, once you get into the 1200/month range, there are other cars in that area as well.

Don't drive the 335i!!! You'll fall in love. Go to JMK, Fernando Cerquiara will give you the best deal around. Once I drove the 335i, I went right to the Audi dealer to get my deposit back.

The dealer actually didn't have a manual 335i to test, so I ended up testing the M3. I like it a LOT! It had a lot of grunt compared to my E46 M3 I had. They said a lease would run around 1100-1300. Is it worth the money? Will the buy out be a good deal at the end to purchase it at the end of the lease? I think it'd make a great daily driver cause I loved my old one, but it is a lot of money.

Where are you in nj? The lease is a closed end lease so They'll tell you your buy out right there. The new M3 is nuts but, given the current state of the economy, I think you might be able to get a better deal. Your more that welcome to check out my car but it's not stock.

I would definitely settle for an S5 if you want an Audi, any decent color is OK don't be so picky... now if you want a bimmer the M3 is through the roof in pricing so settling for 335i is not a bad choice at all, that thing flies for the $$$ and you can easily get another 80hp without much compromise... imagine that...
