it's tough to establish the market price when markets move as quickly as this...

i think we should have a race to see who buys a new one for $60k first--sounds like if someone stuck that offer in front of a dealer right now they might just get hit....

If you are looking at one with $73,xxx MSRP, I think $60k is very doable. Assuming what I read on another forum is true that there is $8,000 incentive going on. Plus the difference between MSRP and invoice is about $5k. I think some dealers will take it give the market.

The lowest I've heard of so far has been 62K.

Ive been watching the rs4 conv they have in my local dealers show room for some time now. They were willing to move $8K on it about 1.5 months ago and its still there. Im willing to be they would be willing to move much more now that its almost the end of convertible season here in PA and its an 08. Knock $20K off it and Id bite.

Do you think this is possible?

I have a friend whom was kicking around a new M3 vert to replace his B6 S4 Cab. If he could get $20k off a new RS4 Cab, I'm pretty sure his decision would be made.

$12k off seems to be pretty common. One dealer in my area advertises $15k off a phantom black (msrp $74885 for $59990)! It is supposed to be new but I do suspect this one may have few more miles on it? Demo? As the rest of its RS4 inventory are $12k off.

$20k off a cab may not be doable now but I think it will be next year. There are still lots of unsold units out there...

What dealer is advertising $60K? I might use this for negotiating and I am cross shopping an M3 Sedan.

Given recent deals being offered I have been second guessing my purchase of the S4 in July...

But only briefly. []

Recently I've been shopping new M3s and RS4s to replace my 2002 M5. I'd love to find a nicely priced new RS4.

Where did you find that deal?
