Brake Squeal on R8

hi to all, any one here with squealing brakes on their R8, picked mine up last week, and it starts on Day 2... Audi gave me a brochure on brake squeal.... We have a Q7, not a sound.

According to most that has this special effects, it would not go away. Audi told me they are looking into it, but emphasized this is common on all their cars. A tr-fold brochure with 6 panels of information that = **** of of luck. Our Q7 did not come with such special option. ; >

The brakes on my R8 started squealing from the first application of the brake pedal. When people turn their heads I am unsure if it is because of the looks of the car or the brake squeal. So SAD! It is like taking a beautiful woman and pouring dog **** on her. It leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

it is bad, I start to practice this puzzle look on my face at the stop light — whose car is making that noise. maybe I will tint my window to solid black....

Mine only squeal in the cold but goes away when warm up. Regardless these brakes are phenomenon and replacing them with Brembos is ludricrous.

Take this with a grain of salt but if yours dont go away when they warm up, consider applying "anti-squeal" lubricant on the brakes (same kind when installing new rotors or pads).. or even consider changing pads?

No not yet, I wont have the car out for another six weeks or so, if it is still an issue then, I will have it looked at.
